The Patching Information section claimed that the patch requires a headered rom. This was definitely a mistake, so I changed it. I added a header to the original rom and the patch produced a buggy uncensored sprite with stray pixels floating around the main character. Patching a clean headerless rom restored the uncensored sprite without any graphical errors, as shown in the screenshots. Plus, the readme itself doesn't say anything about a header, which further proves the uploader made a mistake when filling in the patching details.

Zero Meaning

Zero Meaning is a lot of things. As well as being a concept, they’re (primarily) an artist and graphic designer, but also a composer, sound engineer, cook, collector, gamer, and in general just a total mess of a human being. They live-streamed video games on Twitch, crashing and burning after almost four years of full-time ‘entertainment’. They’ve done a metric butt-ton of sprite work for Z1M1, the Zelda/Metroid NES Crossover Randomizer. Right now, they’re either sleeping or maybe making hacks for this website. Or maybe they crashed and burned again and removed themselves from the Internet forever.
