Description:
I don’t really spend a lot of time playing games, but I am a full-stack programmer of things from assembly (mostly 6502) on up to JavaScript, including compiled binaries, scripts, and Web development as well, for systems ranging from Arduinos on up to multi-million-dollar HP Itanium & x86-64 server machines.
I collect retro consoles and computers, and have a few old arcade machines on top of my ever-growing pinball game collection. From time to time, it’s fun to take on a reverse-engineering challenge, modifying code for the sake of changing graphics or rule sets, or just to understand the platform, especially if electronic schematics are handy too.
I have been (slowly :-P) developing new hardware and software for these old systems (such as games, rule adjustments, I/O interfaces, visual mods, and memory controllers) to someday possibly push the limits of what these systems can do.
