World War 2 was devastating to those on both sides, and this is clearly evident to Seita and Setsuko, two Japanese children struggling to survive in the midst of the war. In this hack, Setsuko has gotten lost in the forests of Japan and Seita must travel through the dangerous Japanese landscape to reunite with the only true family he has left. He needs to make use of his umbrella and stone weapons to take out the vicious animal population, as well as defend himself from angry adults out to keep him from saving his sister. He must also be aware of American bombing runs and the falling firebombs that plague his every waking moment. Can you help Seita and Setsuko achieve the happy ending they’ve looked forward to their entire life?

Almost every graphic has been changed to fit the feel of the original Ghibli movie and make you feel like Seita fighting to save his sister’s life. The most current version is V0.99, and is, for now, the most that can be done in regards to graphics.

Svambo (one of the creators of ArkanEdit) helped fix powerup bugs in levels 75, 84, 96, and 98 of the Mega Man Arkanoid hack. Those levels can be played with glitches removed (including powerups now able to be found on level 75 where there were none before). Sorry for the issue for those that may have encountered it.

This hack changes every single level (excluding the occasional boss fight) in Arkanoid - Doh It Again to a level featuring a character from the classic Mega Man series. Almost every single classic Mega Man game is represented in some way (excluding 11 and some very obscure titles), with main characters, prominent villains, famous enemies and bosses, and loads of robot masters for you to destroy block by block! Play through every level to get a few surprises at the end in the form of cameo appearances by other popular Mega Man characters.

The included README file on the hack page has all of the levels and their represented character listed at the bottom, so be sure to check that out to find the location of your favorite robot warrior! This hack was created using the extremely helpful and easy-to-use ArkanEdit program, without it, this passion project would not have been able to exist.

The world of the Borrowers is a harrowing one, having to scramble for supplies and survival amidst the dangers of human “beans” and vicious animals. But Arrietty’s family is very close because of their adversity, so when Arrietty’s mom, Homily, is kidnapped by the sinister housekeeper Hara, Arrietty vows to save her mother at all costs. Arrietty must make use of her Yellow Thumbpin weapon to defeat dangerous insects in order to climb structures and rescue her mother. But be careful not to be caught by Ms. Hara’s jars as she throws them down to add you to her collection!

Version 2.0 (the Enhanced Edition) adds all new large images/art, including a brand new title screen, powerup screen, password screen, and ending screen, all with beautiful and detailed designs created by CryinOnion! Text has also been refined a bit to look better on screen and fit even closer to the atmosphere. Hope you guys enjoy this new, improved version!

It’s safe to say your chances of getting Imposter in this hack are 100%! In this hack of Mrs. Pac-Man for NES, you need to dodge the crewmates in various locations around The Skeld in order to avoid being ejected and surviving to win the round! This hack takes place in a wide array of areas inside the spaceship, including Cafeteria, Reactor, Electrical, Security, Medbay, Weapons, Navigation, Upper Engine, and finally Cafeteria again! You can also pick up helpful items for more points, like various hats and pets along the way. Don’t forget to use the vents on the sides of the map and collect the Kill Buttons to turn the Crewmates into vulnerable dead bodies (complete with cartoonish bone sticking out of the center).

And not only do you have the chance to play as the Imposter, you can grab a friend to play with you and form an unbreakable sinister team of Two Imposters as both of you play at the same time to thwart the Crewmate’s tasks! Hop into this hack for several rounds and see what danger the wonders of space has to offer….

Set after Porco and Curtis’ dogfight in one of Studio Ghibli’s most underrated films, Porco is now faced with outflying the Italian Air Force, the still bitter pirates, and some hired thugs and mercenaries in order to keep Gina and Fio safe while also ensuring his own continued freedom. He must also face additional opposition from the sea, as the facist powers of Italy have sent their Navy to prevent Porco from escaping the Mediterranean. With Curtis’ help, Porco must shoot down as many enemy fighters as he can to escape his newfound peril in what might be the most dangerous battle of his life. In order to do so, he must also find and eliminate some of the enemy’s top brass lurking in commandeered civilian leisure planes on the outskirts of the battle, waiting to watch his defeat. Help Porco save the ones he loves and obtain the life he always wanted without his curse…

Almost every graphic has been changed to fit the feel of the original movie and immerse you into the movie’s wonderful world. The most current version is V1.0, which fixes some graphical oversights of the previous version and is, for now, the final and definitive version in regards to graphics.

This version of the Castle in the Sky hack by Supergamerguy allows for simultaneous multiplayer, where a friend can join in on the action along with Pazu! (Based on Corpse Grinder’s original hack). Journey through the vast depths and heights of Laputa with a partner by your side to help you in this dangerous journey as you set out to defeat the Army and save Sheeta from the evil hands of the dastardly Muska! But watch out!, if one partner goes down, you both go down, so be careful and make sure to work together rather than against each other so that everybody on earth can be saved from Laputa’s terrible hidden powers…….

After several weeks of painstaking trips wading through lines of code and forum posts trying to figure out how to edit the refactored code of the SMB1 Co-Op hack, Supergamerguy finally pieced together a general idea of how to make some changes to its code. He was able to figure a few things about palettes and how they relate to characters and enemies and particular, but the majority of his findings pertain to the Title Screen. Sadly, he was not able to get info on the top-right hand portion of the “Title Box”, but he was able to map out the locations of everything else. Supergamerguy hopes this benefits any hackers wishing to make their own changes to the game and eases the stress of everything else!

The “family-friendly” alternative to Googie’s amazing original hack (Super Wario Bros. 3) is finally here! This addendum replaces all of Googie’s text changes with some different phrases that can appeal to a younger audience as well as a general one.

The idea first came from watching Blue Television Game’s (BTG) playthrough of it a few years ago and the desire to make a version that could appeal to his regular audience. Hope you guys find this helpful and a worthwhile redownload or replay!
