Hey to all ROM hackers and Xenogears lovers! I finally released my Xenogears patch, dubbed “Xenogears 2.0 Patch”. It’s a 370megs patch meant to be applied on the Xenogears USA CD1&2 images. Here are the following enhancements:
- Controls are put back to the original Japanese controls.
- In-game battle combos are back to the original Japanese ones (matching Japanese controls).
- Audio in the Full Motion Videos is in Japanese with English subtitles.
- Voices in the game are back to the original Japanese ones (in battles + certain cutscenes).
- The weight unit in character’s stats is back to kilos (.kgs instead of .lbs).
- Emeralda’s icon eyebrow transparency is corrected.
- The selection arrow in shop menus doesn’t overlap choices (Buy, Sell, Exit) anymore.
I am hosting the patch on my little ISP space, so please guys download 1 file at a time maximum ^^
You can reach the dedicated website here.

Dragoon X Omega II was designed to emulate Dragon Warrior as much as possible. This, obviously, entailed a high degree of difficulty, with a major stressing on level grinding to complete the game.
While some enjoy the old-school RPG experience, many do not. Therefore, an “Easy Type” version of the game was made, which flows much more like Final Fantasy.
Level grinding is kept to a minimum, enemies are much less deadly, things cost less, and more.
If you couldn’t get into v1.26, then this may be for you.

Grond has released what he hopes to be the final version of his Final Fantasy ++ hack. Here’s a list of what’s new in version 1.50, which you can get here:
- Dropped the icons from the front of weapons’ and magic spells’ names, in favor of longer names.
- Renamed most spells so that they more closely follow the “-ra -ga -ja” naming convention.
- Changed the Soft spell entirely, plus one or two other minor changes to spells.
- Gave different graphics to many weapons, and altered the properties of a couple.
- Weakened and cheapened Potions to 50 HP for 50 gil.
- Tweaked the Earth Cave music slightly.
- Made very minor changes to some NPC’s dialogues.
- Renamed some things that were otherwise unchanged.
- Recolored a couple of things.
- Some other changes of relatively little consequence.

Hiya everyone, DarknessSavior here. I have officially released a very preliminary patch for my Chrono Trigger project, titled “Chrono Trigger Redux” (a name that will probably wind up changing in the future).
Basically, what this patch does is change many of the item/tech names and descriptions so that they will be as close to the original Japanese version as possible.
In terms of descriptions, most of those are ad libbed on my part, because the Japanese version doesn’t have many, and the ones they do have, I can’t read. But, I tried to make them relate to the item or technique in question as much as possible.
You can find a copy of the patch here.

During some studying of the game Recca, it was found that there is an alternate mode of the game. However, unlocking it requires beating the standard game, *then* resetting the console.
There is no mention of this in the game itself.
I’ve hacked the game to where this alternate mode is enabled by default. There are 7 levels instead of 4, and enemies are more numerous with much tougher AI routines.
A new title screen has also been added.
If you’re a fan of Recca, this should prove to be a breath of fresh air for you. The difficulty will test your abilities at the game most assuredly.

FPI Productions has announced the release of one of the most diverse and unique SMW hacks seen in a long while. It’s also the sequel to a previous top quality SMW hack. Nothing like raising the bar for yourself! It’s got some of the most diverse levels I’ve seen in hack including a Kirby level, Sonic the Hedgehog level, and a Tetris level! I’m talking about SMW - The Second Reality Project 2!
The paltry two images shown here do not do this hack justice. You should head on over to the project’s homepage and check out the many screen shots there. This game has been hacked from top to bottom and much attention to detail has been paid here with all new backgrounds, levels, new music, a large diverse cast of enemies, custom blocks, story and more.
You’ll also find many bits of graphics from several other classic games along with plenty of secrets to keep you busy. It’s the coming together of many different things that makes for a nice melting pot of fun, although it can get difficult at times like most SMW hacks.

Jigglysaint has released version 1.1 of his new Blaster Master hack entitled Blaster Master: Pimp your Ride.
The main feature of this hack is that 8 new upgrades have been added into the game, on top of the 7 that already exist. This makes for a combined 15 upgrades. What each new upgrade does is a secret. Most will be needed in order to finish the game.
The game also features level edits. The first two tank levels have been re-done, and the others have recieved minor updates in order to show off the new upgrade features.
