Welcome to Pia Carrot English Translation Patch Released

08 February 2009 6:50AM EST - Update by filler

Translations News

It is my sincere pleasure to present to you the complete English translation patch for the PC-FX version of Welcome to Pia Carrot!

This ADV/Dating Sim/Visual Novel style game released back in 1997 is a classic of the genre. You play the day to day events of a high school senior during summer break when he is forced to work in his father’s restaurant due to poor grades. Contrary to your expectations you have the opportunity to meet a number of young women and begin to learn something about work and life in what may turn out to be the most significant summer of your life so far.

The release includes a custom patcher for Windows that can be used to patch a bin/cue style ISO image. It also includes a super cool music dumper.

This patch has not been fully tested but it should be 100% playable. It is a little rough around the edges in a few spots, most notably the extra comics and games you can get, so please keep this in mind. Minor fixes, edits and improvements may be made later but we didn’t want that to get in the way of a playable release. Enjoy!

Star Wars (Namco) 1.0

01 February 2009 8:12AM EST - Update by Gil Galad

Translations News

Today, I present you with the 100% complete Japanese to English translation of the game “Star Wars (Namco)”. “Star Wars (Namco)” is based on the movie “Star Wars: A New Hope”, with a lot of differences in the game.

The game is a 2D sidescrolling action game and several other missions, such as flying your X-Wing out in space, shooting at Tie Fighters, and the last mission, flying your X-Wing to take out the Death Star. I estimate that you’ll get about 45 minutes of enjoyment out of this game, should you play all the way to the end and beat the game. Probably, the most difficult area to pass in the game would be the first visit to the Death Star, so a map has been provided by bbitmaster to help get to the end.

I’m almost certain that everything has been translated in this game. Honookatana translated the scripts, so thanks to him.

Lazy Shell - The complete SMRPG editor is released!

26 January 2009 1:50PM EST - Update by Darkdata

Utilities News

The editor that has had many people waiting for a long time has finally been released. Over a year in the making the editor allows you to edit the game in a very complete fashion.

It’s learning curve is slightly higher than lunar magic, due to no fault of the authors of the editor, but the complex nature of the game itself.

Also, the first ever level and script hack of SMRPG has been released, it can be downloaded in the editor itself with the patching server function Cirrus. (If you get an error the authors are still trying to fix the bugs with the hack that have popped up over it’s release.)

So check it out, who knows how long till the influx of hacks(bad and good) arrive!

15 January 2009 10:10AM EST - Update by Gil Galad

Translations News

Today, I present you with the 100% complete Japanese to English translation of the game “Mottomo Abunai Deka”, which has been retitled to be “The Most Dangerous Detectives”. “The Most Dangerous Detectives” is a game similar to Rolling Thunder, with a storyline theme based on the Japanese movie “Mottomo Abunai Deka”.

The game is a 2D 1-2 player side scroller. You the player control Taka or Yuuji, or both of these characters at the same time. You’ll find yourself up against many enemies of the Yakuza gang, “The Silver Stars”, and then later on leading you to corruption within the police department and to the main villain at the end. While playing the game you’ll also run into three mini-games, which are a shooting gallery, a fast paced car ride and a shootout with one of the boss enemies.
