bsnes v0.051 debugger
27 September 2009 12:04PM EST - Update by Killa B
byuu has just released a new SNES debugger based on his bsnes emulator.
It’s pretty awesome, and a thousand times better than Geiger’s Snes9x Debugger. It has a lot of fancy things, including a VRAM viewer! If you’re not excited, there’s something severely wrong with you.
Questions, comments, complaints, and feature requests may be posted at byuu’s message board.
Mystic Ark Bug Fix
27 September 2009 12:07PM EST - Update by Gideon Zhi
This is a small (big) fix for a small (big) bug which caused random battles to stop completely just before fighting the last boss in world 3. I´m looking for a code to manually re-enable them, but in the meantime a patch which fixes the bug is up.
The nutjobs who programmed this crap need to be beaten with a tire iron. For those who are interested, the bug was caused by an extremely unlikely combination of factors, including (1) the location of one particular string in the rom, and (2) the particular method by which the string was accessed. The simple probability of any string starting at this address is one in 65535…

Aeon Genesis has released their own translation of Mystic Ark. The script was translated by Ian Kelley, and most of the hacking was done by Gideon Zhi. The project is several years old and took a lot of effort, so savor it! Take your time going through the game.

Snara - Idiot proof, multi-operating system IPS patching
22 September 2009 3:43PM EST - Update by Matthew Callis
Snara is a solution to the eternal problem of idiot proof distribution of IPS patches.
By taking care of any problems for you user, you can easily and safely distribute patches wrapped into Snara. Snara is an Adobe Air application making it universal, so anywhere you can run Air your users can patch. You can also incorporate a read me file, screenshots or other media.
It’s built using Adobe Flex, so anyone with Flex can build it. You can also make it multilingual. I made an example using Hamelin no Violin Hiki English patch by J2E.
Staff note: You can also find the current (as of this afternoon) source here at RHDN.

Zone Of The Enders 1 translated into Spanish!
12 September 2009 12:26PM EST - Update by IlDucci
Today Traducciones del Tío Victor has released the final patch for the Spanish translation for the game Zone Of The Enders 1 for the PlayStation 2 console. Fixing out what Konami forgot to do in this game (As the game was officially translated into English, French, German and Italian only), this version fixes the VR Training issues that were in version 0.99.
You’ll have to play this translation on a console, as this game is not yet fully working on emulators. Have fun!
Staff note - You can also find the translation archived here at RHDN.
