    Update to version 2.02 Another MAJOR update to the script. Recently, Mato of Legends of Localization did a script analysis of Final Fantasy VI. Thanks to his efforts, in addition to Kwhazit's translation notes, TWUE was looked over for script errors and inaccuracies. Much thanks to BlazeHeatnix of RHDN for his massive help in bringing this update. With this update, it still remains true to the projects goals, but is now a better version than it was before! Dispel's spell description and Environmental Science fixed. (thanks Merudo of ff6hacking)

After an email received from Normatt I’ve decided to make up an update to this document. Three of the documents are in Italian, sorry. :P

But, here’s the surpise =), I’ve translated the first and most valuable document into English. The document talks about compression, and adding uncompressed data to the rom.

Great news on the Chrono Trigger hacking front from xZeaLitYx of the Chrono Compedium:

“Temporal Flux 2.00 has been in development for several months, and will be released in a few days. You read that correctly; to celebrate the event, I’ve interviewed the entire team behind the program concerning their contributions to the project, Flux’s history, and their own achievements in Chrono Trigger rom hacking. The Expo also contains a list of features upgraded since our last Temporal Flux 2.00 preview in May; a comprehensive listing of all advantages of 1.07 is included too. Perhaps the feature will hold you over a few days until the real program is released!”

SMB3 Map Editor ALPHA Release

Download the first thorough map editor for the NES version of SMB3. It allows you to edit the tiles, pointers, sprites, starting spaces (with an ASM patch that allows you to change the starting screen scroll and x position), airship retreat points, locks, and pipes on the map. It uses an intuitive interface that lets you pick what mode you’re working in and even to just view the map with the sprites on; and you can export your map as a BMP and it will have the sprites drawn on, letting you present it perhaps for a strategy guide! Enjoy! ^_^

Well, I finally got around to doing it. It’s twice the size (and hopefully twice the quality, or better).

Rather than one, it now makes note of three methods of going about hacking ISO images. Two are full tutorials while the other is an introduction to a much more advanced method that is a bit more difficult than I myself can presently handle.

It also delves into things such as graphics, text pointers, links to technical documents, explains a small amount about PSX ASM and some hacking tips to speed things up.

Everyone likes progress screenshots. The dialogue menu is expanded and working properly. A few more bugs need to be worked out and then beta testing can commence.

After nearly five years without any progress, Cless has made some headway! He’s replaced the font, and the issue with the menu has been fixed. But he says the game is in need of some ASM work for a truly “flawless quality” patch. :(
