Mad City Translation Released

13 October 2010 4:56PM EST - Update by Pennywise

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

The going rate of translations released per month by me is apparently at least one and this month I bring you a new look on an old classic. If anyone ever played the Adventures of Bayou Billy back in the day, you’d know that is was incredibly difficult to play let alone beat. You might find this version more to your liking.

CSTutor89's Adv Of Lolo 2 Hack

03 October 2010 9:52AM EST - Update by cstutor

ROM Hacks News - RHDN Project Page

This is my first hacked Adventures Of Lolo 2 game for the NES system. It is harder than the original Adventures Of Lolo 2 game but slightly easier than Sivak’s Challenging Lolo 2 game. There will be some easy puzzles and some really challenging puzzles like the one up above.

I’ve hacked all 50 levels (including the boss) and the 4 PRO stages. All 54 levels have been tested several times to assure they work and there will be some surprises. Some of the color palletes have been changed too.

If you would like to see more information about this hack, feel free to visit my site to see some videos (of Youtube room demos) and pictures of more rooms. If you have any questions or concerns let me know. Have fun, and I hope you enjoy the hack!

Brandish 4 Translation Project!

30 September 2010 4:28PM EST - Update by golden

Translations News

From their website:

This is the official v0.1 release of the Brandish 4 English translation! Currently, only about 5% of the game is translated, though the game is completely reversed. We’re looking for translation help (see below).

Adoru is pretty busy, and we could really use some help in getting the translation out a little faster. DTagg has already produced the tools needed to translate the text and reinsert it, so we aren’t looking for anything more than someone who can speak moderate Japanese and who has a pains-taking attention to detail. If you’re interested, contact DTagg at j_karcsi@hotmail.com. Also, DTagg is pretty bad with html, css, php and the like, so if this site is bad enough that you’d like to help us improve it, email DTagg at the address above.

Finally, remember that the patch is right now more symbolic than practical–we expect to have a more thorough and refined patch on the way soon.

There’s an ongoing discussion about this project at Ancient Land of Ys.

Zelda3 Goddess of Wisdom

15 September 2010 9:04PM EST - Update by puzzledude

ROM Hacks News - RHDN Project Page

This hack was originally called Shards of Might, but it was in beta form and couldn’t be played normally. But ROM hackers have come together and debugged this hack.

Omega and Seph (authors of Shards of Might) did most of the work with this hack. Francais from France has remodeled it and I, PuzzleDude, have finished and debugged it (some aesthetic bugs that I couldn’t fix remain). I’ve added new gameplay and extended two dungeons. The overworld and all dungeons were remodeled.

In comparison to Zelda 3: A Link to the Past, this is a completely new hack. The overworld and all dungeons are new.

Enjoy this debugged hack.
