The SNES Header Stripper (”stripsnes”) is a commandline tool to strip the headers from SNES ROMs. This is useful if you need to apply a patch that was made against an unheadered ROM, or if you just don’t want useless headers on your ROMs.
I was inspired to make stripsnes because my computer is slow as hell. The only other methods I had of removing headers were WindHex32, which slows me down a bit, or SNESTool, which isn’t even worth the effort. :D
This program is made for convenience, so if you don’t find it convenient then don’t use it. There are many GUI apps that can do the same thing, or the aforementioned SNESTool if you happen to be a masochist.
The archive contains the Windows executable and the C source. The source can now be compiled with “make”, installed with “make install”, and uninstalled with “make uninstall”.
