Tales of Phantasia is an action role playing game for the Super Nintendo.

This is based off of DeJap’s translation (link), and completely dubs all of the voices into English. I’ve played the first 45 minutes or so, enough to at least hear the basics of Cless, Chester and Mint (though Chester hasn’t been changed apparently), and it’s actually not that bad. The opening with Dhaos is absolutely laughable, though. But, essentially, the verdict is somewhere between “tolerable” and “not bad”. Or maybe it’s just me.

This patch needs to be used on an interleaved rom and patched with DeJap’s 1.2 translation. I tested it with both the upper-case and the lower-case font, so you should be cool about that.

ADDENDUM: Interleaved ROMs are hard to come by here in the Modern Age, so Spinner 8’s addendum patch (link) is available for use on your standard non-interleaved No-Intro-approved ROM.
