Journey to Silius;

To quote the Happy Video Game Nerd, this is a criminally underrated game. The game is a challenging obstacle course of perilous platforming and enemies that you have to shoot down with your arsenal of weapons.

There are 5 stages, all of which are very challenging, including stage 1. The bosses are very cool. They take up half the screen or more, and you have this really intense music playing in the background in every fight.

Speaking of music, the soundtrack of this game is just brilliant! Every song is just absolutely amazing. In fact, I think the Title Theme is the best track in the entire NES library.

The game will probably take you numerous attempts to finally beat it, but you never feel like you’re making no progress, so you’ll always have motivation. If you’re serious about beating this game, have an amazing time with it! It’s an amazing game, and it’s depressingly underrated!
