Rusty is an action-platformer game released for the NEC PC-9800 series of computers. It is a Castlevania clone, except instead of starring a Belmont, it stars the titular heroine known as Rusty, who is on a quest for vengeance to find the man who killed her parents.
All text and all image text have been translated. Song titles, already in (imperfect) English, have been left alone.
Versions since v1.0.2 are applied with Pachy98, a custom executable patcher that should work on any build of the game you throw at it.
As far as emulators go, we recommend np21.exe from the np2fmgen pack. Some builds of Neko Project II have garbled text at the title screen, so switch to np21.exe to avoid that. Otherwise, the translation works fine in Anex86, T98-Next, and SL9821 as well.
See more detailed information, including the fully translated manual, at 46 OkuMen’s Rusty project page.
