Game Review - by (wraith)

Finger Flashing here is a pretty fun game. You’re this guy with a bazooka. You merrily march foraward continually. Merilly, that is, until MONSTERS BLOCK YOUR WAY (which I hear is going to be the next Fox “Real Life” special). Not just any monsters, but monsters shaped like paper, rocks, and scissors. And fortunately, that bazooka you’re carrying around shoots, paper, rocks, and scissors for bullets. So all you have to do is quickly blast the beasties with the correct type of bullet to kill them. Unfortunately, shooting the wrong bullet spawns more monsters. And your guy walks faster and faster as he moves along. So you tend to die alot. Especially if you have an itchy trigger finger. But that’s okay because this game is fucking fun.

What makes the game tricky is when there are two monsters next to each other, and one is taken out, if the one next to it is the right one then THAT one will be taken out too. Like, you attack a Scissor with a Rock and it dies, or vanishes or whatever. That means that the Paper that was right next to the Scissor dies too. And then the Rock that was right next to the Paper dies after that, and so on. So you can rack up some pretty big combos, if you keep your head on you and remember which button is which, and stuff.

Description

This is the second Playstation translation from RIP Translations! And again, since most of the translation work was just graphics, it was really easy to make this game look all pretty and stuff. I mean, look at the title screen! Damn! So yeah, this is a nice translation. If you have the right equipment to play it in the first place, at least.
