By popular demand, Verve Fanworks is providing a partial translation patch for Dragon Force II to help English fans better understand its gameplay mechanics.

What’s translated in this partial release:

• Menus
• Item names and descriptions
• Most battle quotes
• Gameplay-critical text
• Monarch Select screen bios

What will be translated in incremental updates:

• General recruitment quotes on the overworld
• General quotes used for the Domestic “Chat” option

Included are two patches, one for each of the known Japanese prints of Dragon Force II. Also included are two bonus images: a troop matchup chart by frameshift and a LightScribe CD label made by Konsolkongen – who successfully tested the translation on hardware!

Remember, this is only a stopgap release. We can always use more translation help for the push to get Dragon Force II’s story fully translated! So far we have one out of seven scenarios translated, and one partially translated. Hit us up at our forum if you’re interested in pitching in!
