The Devil Children series was Atlus’ answer to Pokemon. There are three Gameboy Color versions: Black, Red, and White. In each of these games, you play as a different Devil Child (half human, half demon).

It’s not quite like Pokemon as it has a somewhat stronger storyline (though that’s not saying much). Much like some other Shin Megami Tensei games, you recruit demons by talking to them in battle.

I already have all the scripts from Black Book dumped and compared to the scripts from Red Book. While Black Book’s script is 100% translated into English, German lags a bit behind.

I was originally planning to make a double release out of Black Book and Red Book in English as well as in German, then go onto White Book. Currently, this might be too much to do at once, so I might just release each version as it goes. Sadly, I cannot really tell which one it’s going to be.

Progress has picked up again due to amounts of free time spent on this, and I hope I will be able to incorporate most changes I made to Black Book into Red Book soon, so both will be at about the same level of hacking.
