Mega Man

Nintendo Entertainment System

Game Description:

Mega Man 1… the start of an incredible franchise. What can you really say which hasn’t already been said? Well, I’ll try my best to be original here.

The Mega Man series is iconic for its amazing stages of perilous platforming, shooting enemies with your arm cannon, stealing weapons from the robot masters, and using them as another’s weakness!

The unique trait about the Mega Man series was that you could pick which stage started with, and do the robot master stages in any order! Each robot master has a stage you have to complete, and at the end, you fight the robot master. Some are super easy to beat, and others are downright impossible! (That’s why you use their weakness).

After you defeat all the robot masters, it’s on to the Wily stages! The main enemy of the game is Dr. Albert Wily.

Unlike all the other Mega Man games, Mega Man 1 only had 6 robot masters, while all of the later games have 8. The later Mega Man games added things like energy tanks, the dog known as Rush, the slide, the Mega Buster, but in this game, you didn’t have any of those. You just had the great gameplay! Mega Man 1 is probably the hardest game in the series, and I certainly had a lot of trouble at first. It’s a damn hard game!

I feel like Mega Man 1 is also one of the best! My favourite is 9, 2nd is 3, and 3rd is 1! If you haven’t already played this game… I mean, how have you not played it??? Are you even human? Go play it right now! I will sue you if you don’t! (Seriously, go play it, it’s an amazing game!).
