Game Review - by Spinner 8

When we say that all Dragon Ball Z RPGs are alike, we TOTALLY mean it. You have these cards when you battle, and you don't know what the fuck to do, so you set it on auto and cry at the randomness of it all. Stupid DBZ.

Description

It’s been a while since I took a look at this game, but nearly all of the ASM code (huffman decompression among other things) is finished and needs to be tested. As for the script, this game uses a different method of storing and retrieving its strings than the other DBZ games. Basically, strings in the other games were stored more or less in the order they appear in-game, this isn’t the case with DBZ2. Fortunately it does have a pretty simple method of string retrieval, which I intend to duplicate with a custom dumper. Also, I think I have a translator lined up for this one, but I’m not sure. More on this to come at a later date.
