Yep, more Farland Story. It is getting more and more difficult to find new and interesting things to say about these games. Farland Story 4 here was released a mere four months after Farland Story 3. You’d think the game would suck, but it really doesn’t. It’s pretty cool, even.

Sooo.. differences? Well for starters, you finally play as someone besides Arc and friends. You play the role of Phir, this uh, guy, and follow his adventures along with the sexy fairy Gras, and a duck, and this other guy, like a wolf or something. Also, the playing field is made of squares. NOT hexes! That is a big one. Okay, just play the game I guess.

Again, you will have to have this game installed to a hard disk image. Detailed instructions are in the RAR file. And, again, you will need a Japanese font. br /

br / Everything’s completely translated and looks fine, except for a few truncated names (mostly enemies and terrain). But, who cares. BTAxis has again chosen to make the game significantly harder in his translation, which can be mostly avoided by not replacing the *.UNT files, but some stuff is hard-coded into the main executable. This means the game will be much much harder than it should be, whether you like it or not. This squeezes the fun entirely out of the game for me, but maybe you’ll enjoy it instead.
