This game is kinda like what would happen if Shadowgate were set in the universe of Phantasy Star. Except it’s a little more complicated than Shadowgate because there’s more interaction, there’s shops and stuff, and you don’t have a torch that kills you every time it decides to sputter out. And the puzzles are niftier. But stop reading and everyone go play. This is a helluva fun game.

Everything is complete, but the password system got broken along the way. The game’s short enough that you don’t need it, but you can just use savestates anyways so who cares. Weeeell, unless you have a GG copier or something, in which case I guess you’re screwed. Heh.

They should’ve just called this ‘PS Gaiden 2′ or something. It has nothing to do with the ‘main’ storyline trilogy of PS1, PS2, and PS4. If you want good text adventures that are relevant, go play the ‘PS2 text adventures’ for each of the characters in your party (though Rudo’s adventure is the hardest, not worth it).

Skip this one and save yourself the headache. If you’re really curious, just watch a video of it on YouTube.

If you really enjoy text adventures and don’t really care about the Phantasy Star story, then play this to kill time, otherwise pass on it.
