Hack of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Zelda3 PuzzleDudes Quest

I started to remodel the original Zelda A Link to the Past game a long time ago. Unlike Goddess of Wisdom this is a modification, but despite that the dungeons are quite different to solve with a lot of new tricks and hidden objects. The star on the floor has many meanings in this game. Sometimes it will change the pits on the floor, but usually it means that something is hidden. In this case lift or hammer everything. At one point it even serves as a switch for opening the door.
I was concentrating to change the gameplay as much as possible, so even a veteran of the game can easily get stuck. The game is also more difficult than the original, but still quite easy at some points. Despite the fact that this is a remodel, it still took a lot of work, specially because of the number of the dungeons. The overworld, however, is less modified, but there are a lot of barriers, that will force you to search for the correct path. A smart player will quickly see, that this is much more than just another vapid master quest.

Best ALttP hack so farReviewed By: Hrith on 07 Feb 2011
This game heavily concentrates on the dungeons, there is very little questing to be done on the overworld map – and what little there is is very fastidious, sadly, but this is the only drawback to this amazing hack.
The new dungeons are breathtaking in terms of gameplay and particularly riddles. Someone should contemplate making games for Nintendo, they badly need people of such talent.
The dungeons in this hack are all brand new, not tweaks of existing ones. So if you like huge dungeons with bewildering puzzles, and you should, since it’s the whole point of these kinds of games, you’re in for a treat, I tell you!
The difficulty is clearly above that of the original game, but the latter is so easy, it’s hardly a fair statement.
There are a few glitches, most notably that you cannot get past the first room of the the final crystal dungeon of the Dark World, this needs to be fixed, not everyone can hack the game to move the hero elsewhere.
All in all, this has been the best experience I have had playing a Zelda: A Link to the Past ROM hack, and I sincerely recommend it to everyone.
