FDS Explorer is a Windows utility for browsing FDS-images (*.FDS) used by Nintendo emulators that supports Famicom Disk System images.

This tool really helps when hacking FDS games. There are pretty much 0 tools for FDS, so any tool helps. It really lets you get a good idea of what is in an FDS game. It helped me when I was hacking Family Composer. Although, I would like to see a “replace item” function. Extracting works fine, but I tried to put a hacked file back in and it kept messing up. So it needs some more work, but what is done is very nice. Haven’t used the dissasembler yet, because I’m not the advanced, but I’m sure it can help someone. One of the definitive tools for FDS.
