Score boards were inherited by arcade games as a way to promote competition for a wide amount of games and it’s still used for some up to this very day.

Back in 1990 it was common that games had no battery save for score boards, when the console was turned off that was it. And it was a crying shame, because otherwise it would have been an extra incentive to play. Now this can be achieved through save states, but that’s not convenient.

Streets of rage didn’t have a battery, though the game comes with cooperative play, many difficulty options and a score board.

This hack works transparently for the user and does what it claims to do, when you introduce your name the scores are saved, so you can try to beat your own mark as an alternative for beating the game.

This should be made in all the games possible. Thank you.
