Double Dragon II is an action beat ‘em up game for the Game Boy.
Translation Description:
Well, there wasn’t much to translate besides the opening, but that’s alright. One interesting thing to note was that this is actually the second release Ipkiss made for this, the first was with made-up “homey-g wassup” dialog, for which Ipkiss was immediately flamed for on several message boards. But he went back and fixed it, and now he’s really cool sk3n3 dude, so it’s all good.

Reviewed By: Supergamerguy on 06 Aug 2021This is a pretty old and early Gameboy translation project, but it delivers on what the player needs to understand the story well. The dialogue is easy to read and interesting to follow, with a font well-picked by the developers. The intro and ending text are all translated, as well as several bits of dialogue throughout the game’s main story. While it would be nice to have the Staff Roll translated, as well as the screen that tells you to restart the game at a certain point in Easy Mode (both are a garbled mess of characters), the story was obviously the main focus here, and they pulled it off well for those in the West.
