Super Mario Bros. 8

Hack of Don Doko Don 2

Description:

This hack is a request from Super Buni (hope you enjoy it!). The main concept? Redo Super Bros. 8, one of those pirate cartridges that were everywhere in flea markets in the ’90s.

The original game, Don Doko Don 2, was developed by Natsume and published by Taito exclusively in Japan in 1992. Because its creators never bothered to hide the fact that they were inspired by Nintendo’s mascot, this game is an excellent basis for creating a hack that feels like an official Mario game, or at least, a third-party installment made with Nintendo’s permission.

For more details, check the readme file or simply download it, play it and have fun!

Better than Super Bros. 8

Reviewed By: Vallenatero2015 on 16 Jul 2021

Although I still remember that pirate game Super Bros. 8, this Super Mario Bros. 8 has improved over the previously mentioned game. Not only does he replace the protagonists with Mario and Luigi, but he also replaces various enemies, including the boss of the final world with Bowser. Anyway, this hack is a work of art, that’s why I recommend it.
