The setting takes place between the Yellow Turban rebellion and the timeframe of the Cao Cao vs Yuan Shao war (200 AD). Battles somewhat re-created:

Reviewed By: Old_gamer on 15 Jan 2021This is a fine mod of one of my favorite games Destiny of an emperor as now you rule Yuan Shao!
This mod does have new generals like Yan Liang or Wen Chou for example and is quite a difference than the original. You can now duel like in Romance of the three kingdoms 2, but carefully as it may not always go your way and could kill you or an enemy. The boss fights are the highlight here as they are more difficult but not extreme and requires tactics. Every general gains a level with more soldiers to use, tactics are translated, new portraits, and a nice new story.
I only noticed that there are a few bugs here like the enemy may heal you instead or attack themselves but these instances are thankfully rare. This is still very much playable and can be completed but a little extra polish wouldn’t hurt.
Fans of the game will still be pleased.
