I don’t know why this wasn’t done sooner officially from Nintendo. Ever since this first game, players have wanted a co-op Mario experience that wouldn’t properly come until a few decades later. But now this hack goes back to right the wrongs and make the ultimate Mario 2 player experience! Getting to play with 2 players simultaneously makes this game so much more fun for a modern audience, and little touches like Luigi having a different Fire Flower palette than Mario has shows just how much the creators put into their great efforts to fix the experience. Hopefully a hack like this comes out for Mario 2 (Mario USA in japan) and/or Mario 3 in the future to compete the trilogy of nostalgia!
