This hack is what it claims to be, and more.
Reviewed By: gravitygoesup1 on 24 Jul 2020This is a tentative recommendation for this hack. I say this because this hack is not only a maze and keeps on going and going and going, but because this hack is hard as shit. The platforming, enemies, and the freaking fire bars WILL kick your ass, again and again.
However the graphics look amazing and he uses sprites from SMB3, most notably Mario. The level design is constructed to make you panic, but you have to slow down for every situation and analyze the rooms carefully. There is a 900 second time limit for a reason.
I recommend this hack for experienced SMB1 players, but if you are a casual or beginner player you probably shouldn’t play it. This game is extremely tough and will punish you for every death by sending you all the way back to the beginning. I haven’t even beaten the first level, and I honestly don’t know how long it is.
Another tip: some of the enemies don’t behave how they normally do… be careful.
