A great little hack

Reviewed By: impurekind on 30 Jun 2020

Great hack.

A few things I’d love to see added if possible:

1. Higher colours for the various weapons and items on the HUD, especially the first aid kit, which I think looks a bit weird without proper white. Could be achieved by overlaying 8-16 colour sprites or something like that.

2. An option to press a button to bring up a full map of the whole level (maybe Pause so you can check it when the game is paused, or Select would be good also seeing as it’s just duplicating the function of R in bringing up the mini map anyway). It’s the one thing I think this game sorely needs as trying to map those levels in my head is a nightmare. Oh, and displaying the Exit on the map once it appears would be great too.

3. An easy mode, because I honestly think the game is a bit hard after the first couple of levels and could do with it for people who just want to have fun going through the game and seeing all it has to offer rather than it be a bit too much effort.

Other than that’s it’s really nice.
