Recent Updates

  • Hacks
Added the following features: - All the shine sprite models have been tinted green, including the ones on the episode select menus and the monument one in Delfino Plaza. - The Shadow Mario wanted poster in Delfino Airstrip has been changed to a wanted poster of Shadow Luigi. - Various shine sprite images have been tinted green. Updated the list of things it still needs by adding these previously unmentioned problems: - The FLUDD nozzles don't always render correctly. - The Luigi model lacks many of the texture-altering features of the original Mario model, such as visibly getting dirty from the goop or closing his eyes when he goes to sleep. - The level entry portals are still "M"s instead of "L"s. - The goop originally at Delfino Airstrip is still in the shape of a Mario head with an "M" above it instead of a Luigi head with an "L" above it. I also added in the description that people should explain how they created the new assets they make for this mod to me so I can more easily alter them if necessary. And I changed two of the pictures to show off the newly green tinted shine sprite models and textures.
  • Hacks
Change title to make it easier to find. Correct a couple of misspellings in the description.
  • Hacks
Changed the timer from 400 to 500, since most of the levels are quite long.
  • Hacks
Current instructions regarding the rom to hack are incorrect and the resulting patched rom is broken

Mickey to Donald: Magical Adventure 3

Super Nintendo

Game Description:

Magical Quest 3 starring Mickey and Donald is the third series in the Disney-inspired platformers made by Capcom in the 1990’s. The game plays just like The Magical Quest and The Great Circus Mystery: Go through levels and gain new costumes that empower you with new skills.

The evil King Pete is up to his old tricks again. When the guardian fairy of Storybook Land fell asleep, King Pete and his minions took it over and are now plotting to take over the real world as well. Not only that, Pete has kidnapped Donald’s nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie to use as his slaves.

Now that Mickey and Donald have found out about King Pete’s terrible plans, will they be able to save Donald’s nephews and restore peace to Storybook Land before it’s too late?

Definitive Version of a Hidden Gem

Reviewed By: Neon Streetlight on 27 Jun 2020

I’m a big fan of this game and I love how it’s still getting updates after all these years. This translation is perfect but I’m torn on the new title screen update In 1.5. It looks fantastic and is likely how the game would have been localized officially all those years ago when it was released. But a part of me prefers matching the style of the original Japanese title screen (as previous versions did) since it’s more authentic to the only official version of the game that exists. It would be cool to have the option between the two.

Also, I’d love to see the hacking credits moved to text at the bottom of the title screen rather than its own screen when it starts up since that just makes it longer to get the game started. I don’t see many translations doing that anymore.

Overall, amazing job, and I appreciate all the work that has gone into bringing it to where it is today.
