Gotta say, I have always said that Kirby’s Dream Land was the perfect game for a DX version. It’s short, it’s easy, it has an already fully coloured remake in the form of Spring Breeze in Kirby Super Star Ultra for the DS to take references for colors from, and the style of Kirby games would really make a colorizarion of the first Dream Land just incredible.

Only issue is that some flicker effects when objects/enemies are hit or when Kirby gains a powerup are missing, and when the Kracko (cloud with eye) boss appears, the eye has some sort of orange & yellow colour split down the middle abruptly, but outside of that, the rest of the game plays perfectly!

I even took it upon myself to make a revised version of this hack, in which:

1) I modify the title screen Kirby on the top left to look better and with some shading 2) Modified the palette for the pink on the title screen (and HUD) to match Kirby’s in-game pink color 3) Modified the HUD icons to look more colorful and not mostly white

If the dev(s) wants me to add this patch as optional or as an update, please let me know! I’ll be glad to add. :)
