  • New dungeon music
  • Remake level 2
  • Shuffle locations for level 2 and 3
  • Update automap graphics to reflect above
  • Update whistle locations
  • Use a different map cursor between overworld and dungeons

  • Updated Gohma graphics
  • Updated Manhandla graphics

Great graphics and fresh starting experience

Reviewed By: AldenTapasya on 05 Apr 2020

[v1.0] The new graphics look wonderful and the automap is very useful! I also appreciate the dialogue changes, they are for the better in most cases.

However, there is one major issue: the Bow is nowhere to be found! It’s not in level 1 (where you find the sword instead, due to starting with the boomerang) and the rest of the game is the same, so it’s impossible to kill Gohma and beat the game. And yes, I have searched everywhere in level 1.

If this is fixed, I’ll be happy to recommend this romhack, because it’s a much-needed update.

[v1.1 edit] And now that the Bow has been added properly to the game, its sole glaring issue is gone! The peculiar solution of selling the Bow and Arrow in different shops allows players to assemble the weapon without needing to step into a dungeon. Between this and the Boomerang as a starting weapon, you can expect the early game to feel quite different.
