Tetris highscore save

Hack of Tetris

Description:

The original Tetris for Game Boy had no permanent save feature. As soon as you turned your Game Boy off, all the highscores were gone. With this patch the highscore tables for Tetris will be saved forever. It works on real hardware, too.

The patch needs to be applied to Tetris (World) (Rev A). (Often called V1.1)

You will also need to use the special “Tetris highscore save.sav” file found in the downloaded zip-file.

The hack was done completely by BennVenn. It was uploaded here with his permission.

ROM / ISO Information:

  • Database match: Tetris (World) (Rev A)

This patch worked perfectly and the provided save file did include the BENA 76 and BEN 74 scores as described. I was even able to hex edit the save file to create a blank one. Thanks for the great work creating this high score save patch!
