Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo

Super Nintendo

Game Description:

The third game in the Fire Emblem series, it is divided into two sections known as “books”:

Book 1, which is a cut down port of the first Fire Emblem game. Although the plot of the game is basically the same, several chapters and characters were removed due to space limitations.

Book 2 is the sequel to Book 1 and by extension the first Fire Emblem. It follows Marth as he deals with some of the ramifications of Book 1, and battles new threats as they come up across the land.

The game is known for including features such as dismount, where units on horses had to get off of them for indoor chapters, and being the first Fire Emblem game to show movement ranges when a unit is selected.

Translation Description:

This is an update to Quirino’s Updated Mystery of the Emblem Fan Translation patch. This release was mostly focused on fixing some errors in the original patch, and as such there are no major script alterations/name changes. A detailed list of changes can be found in the readme.

Looks like a retail release

Reviewed By: vonseux on 10 Nov 2019

Finally this translation looks like a finished product that one would imagine release overseas. This fixes the old hack intro and title screen issues and Japanese letters. This is the version you want to add on your gaming device or repro card. The only thing left in Japanese that I’ve found is the class profiles if you let the game rest after the Press Start screen, hope to see it finished soon but it’s already awesome as it is.
