7th Saga Rom Editor

Game Specific

Description:

Use this on a headerless English rom of 7th Saga. Its size should be 1.572.864 bytes. If you try opening a different rom in the editor, all sorts of weird things may happen, as it does not do any kind of verification. I’m not responsible for any kind of side effects using this editor may cause. Use it at your own risk. Well, it’s quite unlikely that using this will make your computer explode or anything… it may corrupt your rom, so make sure you have a backup copy of it.

Covers much, but not everything

Reviewed By: Old_gamer on 21 Oct 2019

This tool allows you to edit growth rates, resistances, spells, drop rates, and weapons. While that is a nice touch, you cannot toggle experience earned to reduce grinding, cannot edit equipment names (what the hell is an xtri?!), no dialog changes, apprentice join rates, and cannot edit monster names.

Still, you can see just how the developers designed this game with how unbalanced it really was. Now you can fix that and still make a character to your liking. Needs polish, but it’s kinda nice though.
