Colorization causes choppy frame rate - needs work before being considered definitive.

Reviewed By: DrDimension on 28 Apr 2019

I’m not sure if the other reviewers failed to use a sufficiently critical eye, but this hack results in a choppy and ugly frame rate as compared to the silky smooth 60Hz of the original. Also, I’m pretty sure that SML2 DX’s frame rate did not suffer even tho it was done by the same author, so perhaps it’s a lack of optimization.

Also, the redrawn sprites are, IMO, choppily animated and also uglier looking than the originals.

I hope this hack gets more time put into it with optimizations. If so, I will replace this review with a recommendation.

Thank you!
