I stumbled across this little gem while looking for a jrpg that broke away from the typical medieval fantasy themes found in most dragon quest clones and this did exactly that. You play a space detective that has to uncover the evil plot of Jado who is trying to take over the earth with a weapon that turns people into animals or something. The game story is reminiscent of a Saturday morning cartoon and the English translation is very well done. The battle system is an interesting take on the classic dragon quest style. you can equip multiple weapons but some weapons have to charge after being fired which takes a turn or two. You also only take on one enemy at a time . This was a pretty fun play through and a pretty solid title that anyone who enjoys classic jrpgs should have a blast playing.
