Final Fantasy IV Graphics Update

Hack of Final Fantasy II

Description:

This is a beta patch that replaces all the 8-color enemies with their 16-color WonderSwan counterparts. It should be applied to a headerless ROM of the 1.1 US version (1.0 might work - never checked). At this point the enemy battle graphics part is pretty much finished. A few small things could use polishing, but everything seems stable so far.

Feel free to post feedback, bug reports, and the like. If you’d like to incorporate this into a hack of your own and have questions, feel free to ask.

It makes a difference

Reviewed By: stratos on 20 Mar 2018

Tried this version (I’ve lost count how many times I’ve played ffiv over the years), it makes a difference and it’s an effort that makes ffiv look very good. I don’t know if the battle backgrounds are to be recolored like the enemy sprites, I bet that the result would look good. I’d recommend this if you want something different graphically from ffiv, many thanks for the effort Gedankenschild.
