  • Games
Swapped the primary and alternative names. The original Japanese title should be used first with the translated title used as an alternate. The original name of the rom has been made the primary name. Kinda odd that the Japanese title makes more sense than the supposed translated title, but I didn't make the names I just swapped them lol.
  • Games
Just another name swap. The Japanese name is "Lipple Island" and I figure it should be the primary name and the translated name "Ripple Island" should be the alternative. :)
  • Games
The given name for this game was a translated name. The original name attached to the rom file and found elsewhere as the name for this game was not included except in the translation notes of which rom to use. I have made the rom name the primary name and the translated one the "alternative" name. I do believe that should be how it is. :)

Final Fantasy VI - Total Graphics Uncensorship

Hack of Final Fantasy III

Description:

Final Fantasy VI had a number of changes from its Japanese incarnation when it arrived overseas, including graphical alterations. Basically, several of the somewhat adult themes were made more family-friendly.

A few mods attempted to undo these changes, but there was no one unified patch, plus the existing projects left a few changes untouched. Aiming to create an all-in-one patch that also remedies these issues, the author now presents Total Graphics Uncensorship.

In short:

  • The original title screen is restored, removing the black and white splash screen
  • Barb-e, Dahling, L.80 Magic, and Madam smoke
  • The Final Boss tiers, Critic, Chadarnook (Woman), and Goddess show more skin
  • Siren and Starlet show more skin
  • Cafés are now pubs
  • Mute’s graphic is reverted, with minor differences
  • The Japanese version’s MP growth curve is restored (See readme for details)

You have permission to use this patch in your projects, as long as credit is given to all contributors.

Really nice to have.

This is a pretty nice pack for those who just want things uncensored, it’s actually somewhat difficult to obtain a couple of parts of this in patch form, so this will save people some work. It doesn’t deal with text but if you wish that can be rectified by using something like FF3USME.

Another cool thing to note is that this is compatible with nearly every other small or bugfix-related patch in existence, except for Petty Sign Fix which was specific to only Cafe signs anyway.
