Description:
The castle in Portrait of Ruin feels like it was used just as a main HUB, as most of the enemies were scattered into the paintings.
This hack has the purpose of improving the game by relocating most of the enemies around the main castle, making it more challenging and alive, adding more variety and keeping gameplay interesting.
As some of the music is also not the best of the DSvanias, some of the tracks were rearranged to different locations, were the mood would seems more appropriate.
Lastly, new save and exit points were added, inside the paintings and around the castle, to make it a more user-friendly game, using the most of the layout of the maps.
Besides that, is the same story and game that we all love.

Reviewed By: garvin on 09 Jan 2018When I think of improvements to PoR I think a lv 99 hard mode, icons for use items in menu, and quest glitch removed, what this hack did was smatter a bunch of random enemies everywhere which lets you get a bunch of levels and good drops like muse tiara.
Save points come about every 3 rooms apart instead of like 7 to 8 and one in 13th street didn’t work. I did like the new exits to the stages in a logical place at least. Worst thing in this hack was the music, city of haze got a nice replacement but imo this is like 2nd or 3rd best soundtrack in the series and you just straight up removed, Jail of jewels, hidden curse, crucifix held close and other great tracks with some of the cutscene music, the cutscene music is pretty good but you could kept that to records or something, I don’t like how it was done here.
Boss refights are a very cool idea but I would’ve preferred that in the master’s keep that has large empty hallways, not giving new players hell in the sewers ( and no abadon jump scares Jesus!)
