Java Island Adventure!

Reviewed By: Kallisto on 26 Mar 2017

This romhack was quite interesting, and I would love to know the story behind it if one of you romhackers happens to know the history, let me know!

1) The stages were pretty cool! I was really digging the unique look which I assume patterns off Indonesia.

2) The enemies were all pretty interesting, and placed well throughout each stage.

3) The bosses & weapons for the most part have almost remained the same, so there is really not much for me to comment on about it.

4) The only thing bad about this romhack is the occasional corrupted graphics, and some really cheap traps, and obstacles that require you to either get damaged or get really lucky, so sometimes you may have to use a save state. Also the use of Quick Beams require you to use the time stop weapon at all times or else you’ll never get through certain stages.

Overall despite the rather rough edges, this romhack is pretty playable, and I would definitely recommend to anyone if someone was looking for a unique experience.
