Mega Man Reved Up!!

Hack of Mega Man

Description:

The purpose of this hack was to make the original Mega Man much a little more challenging for gamers that find games that are a bit tougher than the norm more enjoyable. The game is not meant to be impossible, just a bit harder than the original.

Key changes:

-There are more bottomless pits and spikes throughout the levels, but not to the extreme point found in many impossible Mega Man hacks,

-Each Robot Master receives a considerable vast less amount of damage from their weaknesses than they did in the original game.

-Each Robot Master’s weapon does a considerable more amount of damage to the player.

-All special weapons consume two units of energy.

This hack was created with the use of the Rock and Roll Level Editor.

It is not very good, and somewhat buggy

I stopped right at the fight with Yellow Devil because I thought his weakness was bullshit, and soon as I ran out of energy that I could not defeat him after that, I put down the controller, and said “eff this”.

The enemy placements are atrocious, there is spikes all over the place, and not in very good places at that. Sometimes you can accidentally touch those spikes when you think you’re not even touching it. One of the bosses namely Bomb Man was incredibly glitchy, and for some weird reason he could warp you around the room at random (which I assume is a nasty bug), and even when you defeat him that you better be prepared to grab the orb or else it is going to fall into a spike pit! This romhack looks like it was just slapped together, and some of the bosses are a pain in the ass to take out.

I cannot recommend this.
