Editroid

Level Editors

Description:

Editroid is a Metroid level editor that allows you to edit map and room layout, palettes, item locations, and much more. Editroid can also expand a ROM to accommodate larger and more detailed maps and even animated background tiles.

For more advanced users, Editroid includes a built-in assembler for both general purpose ASM hacks as well as screen-load routines that can modify the behavior of rooms in ways that simple data editing can’t. Version 3.7 allows you to add multiple ASM files to better organize more complex projects.

The best editor for Metroid ever made!

Reviewed By: mrrichard999 on 27 Jul 2014

I’m surprised nobody has written a review for this one! This is an editor which pound for pound gives you everything you need to do your own Metroid hack with powerful options. Also with the editor you can expand your Metroid ROM giving you even more much needed space to have more of a variety of screens to create instead of using the same ones multiple times. You can also create your structures with ease and Editroid will show you which tiles are solid, breakable, and transparent so you can make the right types of block placements and platforms. Get this program and make something great!
