Super Made In Metroid - Attack Of The Rinkas

Hack of Super Metroid

Description:

Here is a patch which changes the whole game from a whole planet to explore to a “how long can you survive” in a room with Rinkas constantly trying to kill you. With a score to keep track of how well you do, this is a true game of survival! Grab as many power ups as you can to help you keep going. This also has 3 modes of game-play from easy to hard. Enjoy!

Metroid Joins The Arcade

Reviewed By: MetroidMst on 03 Apr 2013

So, this is completely different. Completely. It is basically an old-school “chase the high-score” kind of arcade game. Except made out of Super Metroid. There isn’t much else to describe it.

Pros:

  • It is completely different
  • Three difficulty levels
  • Gets pretty interesting

Cons:

  • I don’t know how to write a con for this hack

There really isn’t much here, so I will keep this review shorter. It is an arcade game with Metroid staples all over it. There is “exploration” to find some upgrades. Eventually, the game decides you have been getting too many points and throws Metroids at you. But that is it really. You have three difficulty settings you can choose between, and then you are thrown into a small arena and are tasked to survive.

You will get some enjoyment out of this hack, but your time spent with it will most likely be pretty small overall. I would suggest checking it out, but don’t expect it to take up your weekend.
