Unbeatable on the SNES

Reviewed By: Chris Miller on 16 Jul 2012

In the beginning, I found it quite enjoyable. The first levels would have made a worthy sequel to the original game, or as an unlockable second quest of sorts.

However, the later levels, especially in Chimp Caverns, required me to use over a hundred save states. I don’t believe it’s possible to beat this without doing a tool-assisted run (which I will never do) or using cheats.

In this regard, this hack is not faithful to the original game at all. If you replace the silver Krushas in some levels with the regular ones, and widen some of the ledges so that players of the human variety can land on them, then I will happily retract this review.
