Game Review - by Pennywise

For those that don’t already know, Final Mission was released in America and Europe in a watered down form. The American title, as M.I.J.E.T. put it, was an unfortunate choice. The difficulty was made easier as well and the post-apocalyptic story was turned into a corny cliche. Anyway, this game is not easy. I would assume that the game was so difficult, the guys who released it outside of Japan had to make it easier. To be fair, I can’t actually comment on the difficulty of the game because I’ve never played without cheats, but I bet it gets real hard on the stage with the laser beams. Anyway, I love that intro for the game, but I thought the ending was a bit of a letdown. Still nothing wrong with it. Oh, let me not forget to mention that this game has fantastic graphics for an NES game. It looks really good. I’m sure the difficulty could turn off some, but if you like SHMUPS then you should give this game a try.
