Update By: KingMike

Vanit has released a translation of Sin & Punishment (aka Tsumi to Batsu) for N64.

Note that this is done through a texture-replacement feature with a specific plug-in, as opposed to a ROM patch. (Rice's Video Plug-in 6.1.0. You may want to check how it works on your system before downloading the 5 MB texture pack from his site.)

Show me something that'll work on the original hardware and I'll be impressed :(

Yes, this is probably the biggest necropost in this site's history, but anyways...

We now have an official translation on the Virtual Console!
(today in the US, and I heard it came out a little while ago in the EU/Australia/NZ market)

... I thought the game was still in Japanese.

They translated the menus and tutorial (if that was previously in Japanese).
They "preserved" the Japanese subtitles to go along with the English voice-acting. :D

Yep, today was Nintendo's (hopefully first) two previously-Japanese-only Virtual Console releases in the US.
(the other was SMB2 (The Lost Levels). Though the only change on SMB2 seems to be removing the FDS boot screens, if they were even present in the Japanese VC).

2nd and 3rd actually... You're forgetting the previously-unreleased-in-the-US Lode Runner PCE game (don't know that any translation was even needed, but it was indeed the 1st).

did they recognise it as that though? did it have the special little Japanese flag on it? I hope this is a continuing trend. Also they are bringing in the Neo Geo games, excellent. Now the virtual console is getting good.
