PCSX2 is the first PS2 emulator with a debugger!

A Quote excerpt from the PCSX2 site:

Yes folks PCSX2 0.9 is here, by no means gracefully, but it is here!

You can now enjoy PCSX2 0.9 a faster and more compatible PS2 emulator, it's been a year since 0.8.1 was released so you will see many dramatic changes!

Many games are now going ingame, and some are even playable (check out games like Disgaea, or Silent Hill 4!)

What does that mean to those of us here at ROMhacking.net? It means it just may be more possible than ever to start hacking or translating PS2 games!

Frankly, I haven't gotten it to run any games that I've thrown at it.  Gunslinger Girl vol. 1 gets the farthest, being able to get into the menu (but only under software rendering).  Baldr Force and Hoihoisan just don't boot for me.  Although, if people are interested in assembly hacking games, then maybe they can find out where stuff is going wrong...

I haven't gotten Clannad PS2 yet, but I'll definitely want to try this out with Utawarerumono PS2 (and then see it crash horribly <_<)

Utawarerumono? I remember I tried to get that off of WinMX cause it looked cool, until realizing it was an H-game... x.x

Would try it out, but it looks like I'll have to find some money to buy a link cable, or something, so I can get the BIOS ROMs from my PS2.
Sheesh, you'd think a certain Chinese site with 0-day GBA/DS ROMs (for those who don't know, posting new game ROMs as soon as humanly possible) wouldn't care enough about a lawsuit to have BIOS ROMs (I know emuxhaven considers BIOS ROM requests a bigger rule infraction than game ROM requests. Kinda curious? Because they'd reveal hardware trade secrets, making the hardware manufacturor even more angry?)
