After two-and-a-half years in the making, more if you count the original German version's development time, the Breath of Fire 2 Retranslation Patch (v1.0) is finally done.

The English patch includes numerous bugfixes and improvements, restoring features and interface elements missing from the German version: you can buy stacks of items again, and the handy AP cost window in the battle menu has been restored. Also, the “disappearing cursor” has been rectified; special thanks to the beta testers for getting on my case about that.

The patch download includes translator's notes (warning: heavy spoilers!) and some bonus goodies: a pair of alternate intro patches, one for those who’d like to see how the intro looks with a different song, and another for those who’d like the original title screen music back.

Probably not really newsworthy, but you'll note that my website has changed. I've moved to 110MB.com, which is actually pretty awesome. Discovered them purely by accident, to tell the truth. ^_^

The nice thing is, Google Pages gave me the option to redirect to my new page and download all my old content, so moving the page took maybe an hour and a half (and I have almost no experience working with websites ^_^;). The Murakumo music video and Repercussions of Evil MP3 don't work yet due to file type restrictions, but that'll be solved as soon as I buy $17 worth of extra website features (no subscription fees, either! Ever!).

Just posting to let everyone know that the patch is up to version 1.2b now. Someone on GameFAQs found a bug in the fusion screen.
