Just patch it on your computer and pass the rom to the PSP and play it on an emulator.

Great job guys, I think a lot of people have been waiting for this translation for a long time, me included.  I have already played three hours in, it's a pretty damn fun game!

Is it just me... Or is Baramos accidentally a random encounter enemy moping around right outside of Aliahan? I tried the game out and... well, two Baramos with two slimes ganged up on me. O_O

That's very strange. Are you using the debug code?

If I could use my computer right now, I'd do that. :P I might be able to get it working with DOSBox and UIPS, though. It failed the first time but it was probably a header issue.

Dragon Warrior 3? Never heard of that game before! :P

Great job! It is good timing too, with the release of Dragon Quest IV and V on the NDS.

No... I just patched the game and started it up on ZSNES... I go through the intro, I get out (no party members) and I get attacked by Baramoses. :/ I'll try again with some other versions later.

Blasphemy. Actually... That game was still released under Enix only. Had it been released earlier, it would've have been given the original title.

I'm still very much wondering why some people thinks this version to be superior, see review. Srsly. I still love the old GB(C) allright, but then again, why should anyone miss out the wonderfully drawn SNES graphics? For one poor additional dungeon? For the fact you can play it on a handheld when there are emulators for psp / ds?

Only the name. Other than that they're the same game other than the enhancements. It really made no sense to arbitrarily start calling north american releases the quest name at 8, and it feels like a slap in the face to old fans of dragon warrior. That's the reason.

Dragon Quest 8 was the first Dragon Quest game to be released by Square Enix, so I wouldn't call it arbitrary. I think Square prefers giving games their real names now, after the terrible confusion over Final Fantasy IV and VI.
