Enemy selection memorization hack for Chrono Trigger?

Has anyone made such a hack for the SNES or DS releases of the game?

You select a specific enemy to attack and when the next turn occurs you'll no longer be targeting that enemy and need to navigate to them again. It's really awful for when trying to focus down enemies.

For the DS game I tried setting Battle Courser Memory to Full and Menu Courser Memory to On. In the SNES version I also turned on all menu memorization settings. These don't seem to do what I want :/
